FIELD: coal mining industry. SUBSTANCE: method of methane trapping on ventilation horizon of coal mine includes positioning of partition in air jet coming from face that has door and ventilation window of cassette type. Flexible vessels with clamps on ends are periodically connected to ventilation window in partition and filled with mixture of passing air and methane for subsequent lifting to surface of mine. Rate and amount of air in breakage face are regulated by change of opening of door in agreement with calculation formula when opening of window satisfies equality Sws/Sds=const, where Sws is section of window and Sds is section of door.
