PURPOSE:To prevent a positional deviation of a ribbon which would hinder a normal printing operation, by enabling a ribbon part on the feeding side and a ribbon part on the take-up side to be simultaneously fitted or detached by moving a single lever. CONSTITUTION:With a lever 6 moved, a connecting panel 7 is moved, and a ribbon take-up slide chip 5 and a ribbon feeding slide chip 15 push a ribbon take-up slider 4 and a ribbon feeding slider 14 upward, whereby a ribbon take-up hub 1 and a ribbon feeding hub 11 are moved against a coil spring. Each of ribbon shaft guides 21 has a cutout roughly in the shape of a semi-circular arc with a diameter not smaller than the outside diameter of a ribbon shaft 22 so that when the shaft 22 is placed on the cutouts of the ribbon shaft guides 21, the axis of the shaft 22 coincides with the axis of the hub 1. In this condition, a ribbon 23 is taken out. At the time of fitting the ribbon, the ribbon shaft 22 is placed on the ribbon shaft guides 21, and the lever 6 is moved to the opposite side, whereby fitting of the ribbon is completed.
