FIELD: production of building materials. SUBSTANCE: feedstock comprises wastes resulting from glass production, broken glass, gas-forming agent and binder. Feedstock has the following composition, wt.-%: glass production wastes, 53.22-71.26; triplex glass wastes, 8.5-26.62; gas-forming agent, 5.50-6.50; lime milk, 13.66-14.66. Method for producing granulated foamglass comprises the following steps: grinding glass and gas-forming agent, subjecting ground mixture to granulation on movable surface of granulator, while, simultaneously, adding binder to mixture, followed by roasting foamglass granules. Granulation is carried out in two steps, namely: first, granulator seed granules are formed from foam-forming mixture containing ground triplex glass and gas-forming agent, followed by feeding seed granules into second granulator alongwith foam-forming mixture containing ground triplex glass, gas-forming agent and crushed broken glass. Granulation is carried out so as to observe prescribed ratio of diameters of seed (d) and feedstock-derived (D) granules d/D = 0.5-0.7.
