FIELD: drilling. SUBSTANCE: gear to examine horizontal holes is employed for determination of source of water encroachment in horizontal holes. This geophysical gear is manufactured in the form of multisectional sample-taking chamber with length equal to length of filtration part of hole. Each section of chamber is fitted with inlet hole with controlled valve. Gear is also provided with volumetric weighting materials.
