PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the time needed to generate a three-dimensional CAD drawing from a two-dimensional CAD drawing and to facilitate operator's input operation by providing a solid element generating means, a solid element composing means which generates three-dimensional CAD data based upon two-dimensional CAD data, etc. SOLUTION: This system is constituted having the solid element generating means 46 which generates a solid element shaped by extending an extracted outermost outline along the normal of its corresponding reference surface and stores it in a solid element storage area, the solid element composing means 48 which puts generated solid elements together to generate three-dimensional CAD data based upon two-dimensional CAD data and stores the generated three-dimensional CAD data in a solid drawing storage area, etc. Then all the solid elements including 1st to 3rd solid elements are put together by, for example, only AND operation or mixed operation of AND and OR through the solid element composing means to generate the three-dimensional CAD data based upon the two-dimensional CAD data. |
