FIELD: wood-working industry; processing fibrous materials on base of wood. SUBSTANCE: after evacuation of chamber conditions are created for period of drying at constant rate either by change of pressure or condensation, and/or by removal of vapor-and-gas medium from chamber, and/or by removal of moisture from chamber, and/or by heating the wood; during transient, temperature is raised to maximum permissible level. Device includes units for creating and maintaining the required condition of drying; these units are connected with process parameters setters. Resistive element and/or protective coat of heater are made from material possessing the sorption properties and/or protective coat is made from gastight material.
