FIELD: metallurgy, in particular, continuous casting of metal with successive change of casting ladles by the method of melt-on-melt. SUBSTANCE: method includes supply of metal from casting ladle to tundish, separation of working hollow of tundish into three zones communicating with one another by means of two transverse vertical partitions. Prior to supply of metal to tundish from next casting ladle, partitions are symmetrically moved along tundish working hollow to its center, and at the beginning of supply of metal from casting ladle, partitions are moved from center towards tundish nozzles. The device for embodiment of the offered method includes tundish with two nozzles in its bottom and two transverse vertical partitions separating its working hollow into three zones communicating with one another. Partitions are installed in tundish for motion along its working hollow. Provided between surfaces of tundish lining and partitions over their perimeter is gap whose size equals 0.01-0.03 width of tundish working hollow.
