PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform direct communication between a plurality of subscribers who are connected to a common multiplexing controller only by adding a relatively simple structure. SOLUTION: The plurality of subscribers A, B and C who are connected to a common multiplexing controller 23 via a CATV network 3-1 are divided into two groups #1 and #2, and also, two communication lines LL1 and LL2 corresponding to the groups #1 and #2 respectively between the controller 23 and the router 11 of a head end 1 are installed. After an in-coming packet sent by an information terminal is transmitted from a subscriber terminating device 41c to the controller 23, it is transmitted to the router 11 via the line LL1, and then the packet signal is turned back to the other line LL2 in the router 11 and transmitted to the controller 23. |
