<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To give plural meanings to the two-dimensional coordinate data which can be inputted by a single switch in a coordinate setting area by preparing an input type selection area in addition to the coordinate setting area on the input screen of a coordinate input device to select the types of coordinate data to be inputted. SOLUTION: A coordinate setting area 12 occupies the most right part of the input screen of a coordinate input device 11 to set the two-dimensional coordinate data to be inputted. On the other hand, an input type selection area 13 occupies a small left part of the screen of the device 11 to previously select the type of set or inputted two-dimensional coordinate data, i.e., the meaning of the data. An operator presses a transparent switch covering the area 12 and corresponding to a position right above a display device showing the desired information to be inputted while looking at the displayed information. Thus, the operator can select the display items to input the information while looking at the displayed guide information, operation menus, etc.</p> |
