PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hyper media book display device preserving multimedia information constituted by a hyper link as book information in the referring order of a user. SOLUTION: The user inputs the request of the shift of information from book information displayed on a display part 11 by using a mouse and the like. A selected information storage part 13 investigates a place from which information of a shift destination is taken out from the list of the accumulation places of information on shift destinations in accordance with the request of shift, takes out content information on the shift destinations from the display part 11 and inputs content information to an input part 14. A data display area calculation part 15 calculates the size of an area required for displaying data of a character string and a picture for arranging a text in information and data of the picture in the display area of book information. A book information synthesis part 17 reads frame information of a book from a book frame form storage part 16, arranges content information in frame information of the book and displays content information on the shift destination an the display part 11.
