<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain a sheet handling device which is capable of increasing the number of bins for storing sheets arbitrarily, in a sheet discharging means movable type sorter. SOLUTION: In a carriage movable type sorter (first sorter) 1, a sheet S is deflected in the direction of the second sorter when a carriage 25 is moved near a discharging opening out of the carriage movable range of an ordinary 'carriage discharge mode'. As a result, sheet conveyance switching to the second sorter 24 is conducted, thus it is possible to attain easy extension of the second sorter 24 for the first sorter 1, namely, easy increase in the number of bins.</p> |
