PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attach and detach a paper feeding unit properly. SOLUTION: In a paper feeding cassette of a copying machine on which a paper feeding unit 12, integratedly provided with a carrying roller 20, a paper feeding roller 19 and a power transmission gear 55 to transmit the power from the copying machine body to the rollers 20, 19, is mounted in an attachable and detachable manner, the power transmission gear 55 is provided in a displaceable manner and held at the non-projected position when the paper feeding unit 12 is not mounted.
