摘要 PURPOSE:To appropriately remove a correction error caused by the difference of the focal distance and the set distance of a main optical system by providing a correction means correcting driving controlled variable in accordance with information on the optical performance of the main optical system. CONSTITUTION:In the case a subject is decided as a moving subject by using tracking algorithm at the time of obtaining the driving amount of an AF motor 50, the motor 50 is driven by setting the driving amount of the motor 50 as the sum of a defocusing amount and a tracking correction amount. When a release button signal (RB) shows full-depressing in a tracking mode, an AFCPU 30 limits the time for driving the motor 50 once to a specified time and adjusts the timing of AF operation and photographing operation by turning on a release permission signal (RL) when the specified time elapses after starting the driving. Since the driving controlled variable for tracking the movement of the subject is corrected in accordance with information concerning the optical performance of the main optical system by such constitution, the correction error caused by the difference of the focal distance and the set distance of the main optical system is appropriately removed, and high focusing accuracy is realized in the case of photographing the moving subject.
