PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the efficiency of encoding of outlines by compensating large difference values between sampled outline data. SOLUTION: In this method, a base line is determined to obtain base line information based in outline video data expressing an outline, and the outline is sampled based on base line information to obtain a one-dimensional sample list having plural sample values, and the one-dimensional sample list is used to obtain a reconstituted outline, and the difference value between the reconstituted outline and the original outline is taken out. An error sample list is obtained by sampling based on base line information, and the error sample list is used to compensate the difference between adjacent sample values in the one- dimensional sample list, and the compensated one-dimensional sample list, the error sample list, and base line information are encoded together. |
