PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To speedily prepare a document settled within the previously designated number of pages by changing a document data arranging parameter so that the number of pages for arranging document data can become the prescribed number of pages. SOLUTION: When a user designates the number of pages to prepared document data and request the automatic control of number of pages, an editing control part 151 compares the number of pages calculated by a page number calculating part 153 with the number of pages designated by the user. When the number of pages designated by the user is less than the calculated number of pages or when the calculated number of pages is less than the designated number of pages, the editing control part 151 requests the automatic control of number of pages to an automatic control part 154. The automatic control part 154, which receives the request, controls the number of pages by changing the document data arranging parameters such as line interval, character size, character interval, margin and paragraph interval previously designated by the user while referring to a parameter holding part 155 for control. |
