<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the touch panel input device which is reduced in power consumption and simplified in constitution for touch detection on a touch panel. SOLUTION: To calculate a touch position by applying two electrode panels 1A and 1B which have resistance distributions respectively and are put one over the other so that resistance distribution positions which are locally pressed from outside come into spot contact with each other with a voltage for forming an X-directional voltage distribution on the electrode panel 1A and a voltage for forming a Y-directional voltage distribution on the other electrode panel 1B by turns and detecting and measuring a voltage that an electrode panel which is not applied with the voltage when both the electrode panels come into spot contact with each other, this device is equipped with a contact detecting circuit 10 which is composed of a series connection circuit of a resistance R3 and a field effect transistor 7 and detects a touch on the touch panel from variation in voltage at the mutual connection point of the resistance and field effect transistor by applying the voltage obtained by the electrode panel applied with no voltage to the gate of the field effect transistor.</p> |
