PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a cyan image excellent in discrimination by incorporating a specified compd. as a coupler. SOLUTION: This heat developable color photosensitive material contains at least one of compds. represented by formulae I-III, etc., as a coupler. In the formulae, R1 and R2 are substituents such as optionally substd. alkyl (methyl, ethyl, etc.) and alkenyl (vinyl and alkylvinyl), the sum of their Hammett's substituent constantsσp is >=0. Y represents H atom or a base droppable by a coupling reaction with a developing agent oxide substituted or non-substitute alkyl (methyl, ethyl) alkenyl (vinyl, alkylvinyl) etc., are mentioned as substitutes of R1 , R2 . R3 is alkyl such as methyl or ethyl or aryl having substituents whose totalσvalue is <=0.5, e.g. 4-alkoxyphenyl or alkylphenyl and Y is H or a group releasable by coupling reaction with the oxidized body of a developing agent.
