<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely detect by preventing erroneous functioning in detecting a wave reflector. SOLUTION: A radar sensor detects the position of a wave reflector according to the reflection intensity of a wave from a lane marker 11 embedded on the road surface 12. Wave is emitted by an antenna 13 having a fan beam type directional characteristics 14 so that the longitudinal direction of the emission area 15 of an antenna beam coincides the band lane marker 1 and the width fits and reflected wave is received. By this, the ratio of reflection wave from the road surface 12 and reception level, S/C ratio is improved and lane markers 11 can be surely detected. If an antenna with the fan beam type directional characteristics having an antenna beam emission area perpendicularly crossing in the longitudinal direction of the antenna beam emission area 15 is used together, then more effective discrimination can be done.</p> |
