<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize automatic driving at a branching point on a road where magnetic nails are laid at a prescribed interval. SOLUTION: Basically, a magnetic nail string laid on a main line 18a is constituted of N-pole magnetic nails 16n and a magnetic nail string laid on a branching line 18b is constituted of S-pole magnetic nails 16s. Thus, a vehicle can precisely travel in a target direction in a branching point 20 by detecting the magnetic nails of polarity in a target direction by a magnetic sensor loaded on the automatic driving vehicle. Namely, a system is switched to a driving mode following the N-pole magnetic nails 16n from the upstream-side of the branching point 20 at the time of continuously traveling the main line 18a. When the target direction is the direction of the branching line 18b, the system is switched to a driving mode following the S-pole magnetic nails 16s from the upstream-side of the branching point 20.</p> |
