PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a two-component developing device capable of stably forming a thin developer layer on a developing sleeve, and preventing the appearance of a nonconformity due to the excess and shortage of doctor pressure, even in the presence of runout on the surface of the developing sleeve. SOLUTION: This developing device is formed to have a doctor 6 for restricting the layer thickness of a two-component developer on a developing sleeve 4 and carry the developer on the developing sleeve 4 to a developing zone, thereby developing an electrostatic latent image on a photosensitive drum 1. For example, the doctor 6 is fitted, so as to be capable of traveling along a vertical direction, thereby being energized toward the developing sleeve 4 and the layer thickness of the developer on the developing sleeve 4 is restricted, with the doctor 6 moving toward the developing sleeve kept at constant pressure. |
