PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce voids and enhance a withstand voltage property. SOLUTION: An electrical insulating member is manufactured by working polyethylene prepared by high-pressure polymerization and having no extrusion melting history. In the electrical insulating member, the number of voids having an outer diameter of 1-10μm is 200 or less per mm<2> of cross section, and the number of voids having an outer diameter of more than 10μm is 50 or less per mm<2> of cross section.
