PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the scanning type camera in which focus is controlled without an exclusive range finder sensor. SOLUTION: An image of a subject light that is made incident via an image pickup lens 11 and a focus lens 12 is given to a line CCD 15 moving in the subscanning direction, from which image data for each line are received by a signal processing circuit 16, and the image is displayed on a monitor 2a of an external personal computer 2 or the like. Prior to main scanning for image pickup, the image data for one line are received from the line CCD 15 at a home position are received and its high frequency component is calculated to obtain a focal position and the focus of the focus lens 12 is driven. |
