PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enlarge a focus detection area, without enlarging a circuit scale by providing storage control parts for the same number as line sensor pairs. SOLUTION: An SDR (ensor driver) is the drive device of an AF area sensor device SNS (sensor system) and is provided with (i) pieces of the storage control parts, capable of independently performing electric charge storage control. The SNS is an area sensor provided with light-receiving areas, composed of vertical (k) pixels and horizontal (j) pixels vertically for two pieces. In this case, the two pieces of line sensors equivalent to one column in a vertical direction in the two pieces of the light-receiving areas are called as the line sensor pair, and the line sensor pair simultaneously performs initialization and electric charge storage for (j) pieces and performs image signal read driving by a line sensor pair unit. The (i) pieces of the line sensor pairs selected from the (j) pieces and the SDR are connected, and the storage control is performed by using storage monitoring signals. That is, the selected (i) pieces of the line sensor pairs are connected, so as to supply the storage monitoring signals outputted for the respective pairs to the (i) pieces of the storage control parts capable of independently performing the storage control provided inside the SDR. |
