PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit a module placed at a client side to be perfectly independent as against an application and also to reduce communication quantity between a client and a server. SOLUTION: A presentation layer in a three-hierarchy system is separated into a view module 1a and a control module 2a. The view module 1a of the client 1 corresponds to the respective windows W1-Wn in a screen so as to give a command and a character string to the control mocule 2a of a server 2 in accordance with an operation in the screen. The control module 2a analyses the command and the character string transmitted from the respective windows W1-Wn so as to start the service of a function layer 3 as necessary. The control module 2a manages the transition of the windows W1-Wn. The view module 1a can be transferred from the server 6, etc., to the client 1 side with an internet, etc., by using a WWW browser, etc.
