The folding box has a bottom and four sides (2-5) two of which (2,4) have folding lines enabling the sides to be folded onto the bottom. There are two longitudinal stiffening components (7,8) which engage the free edges of the two sides to prevent refolding of the box when it is opened out. The stiffening components have a length greater than the distance separating the ends of the folding line. The free edges have a notch enabling locking in position the longitudinal stiffening component when the box is opened out.
