Folding of helicopter rotor blades

The procedure for folding helicopter rotor blades into a marked position, after immobilising the rotor (2) comprises several stages. The control handle for the collective pitch is placed in a first predefined position corresponding to a first inclination of the blades (3-6) about their longitudinal axis. The control handle of the cyclic pitch is then placed in a second predefined position. The length of the control chain is modified to allow the inclination of the blades about their longitudinal axis to pass to a second value. The rotating turntable is immobilised by placing three locking rods between a part fixed to rotate with the rotor mast and the rotating plate. The blades are then folded by rotating each of them around a corresponding connection pin to the handle.
