PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To diagnose a loaded equipment without starting a control program by judging the presence/absence of the reception of an equipment diagnostic program from an external device, diagnosing the loaded equipment corresponding to the equipment diagnostic program in the case that the reception is present, transmitting a diagnosed result to the external device and then, loading an initial program to a main storage part. SOLUTION: The CPU of a POS terminal equipment 1 first establishes a data link with an inspection device 2. On the other hand, the processor of the inspection device 2 down-loads a job program 3 for an equipment diagnosis when the data link is established. Thus, the CPU of the POS terminal equipment 1 which is an inspection object receives the transmitted job program 3 for the equipment diagnosis, executes it and performs the self diagnosis of the equipment. Then, the diagnosed result is transmitted through a communication port 4 to the inspection device 2. On the other hand, when the data of the diagnosed result are received after down-loading the job program 3 for the equipment diagnosis, the processor of the inspection device 2 outputs them to an output device 7. |
