The lock is for a shutter with a rail sliding on four threaded rollers on the leaves of the shutter. The lock has a bracket fixed to the rail by the body of the lock (8). Sliding of the rail drives the bracket, which has two folded flanges extending at 45 degrees. The bracket flanges contact a cylindrical part of the respective roller to lift the bracket which falls back to be captured by the roller which is immobilised laterally in a recesses and by the rail for 90 degree rotation of a cam (7) extending from the lock fixed to the rail to vertically retain the bracket and lock the rail. The rail can be immobilised but not retained by the lock and laterally movable by applying a vertical pressure on the bracket across an aperture in the rail.
