The procedure consists of the manufacture in a bio-compatible material of a prosthetic root, which reproduces perfectly the cavity left empty by the removal or loss of a tooth, which is to be replaced. The prosthetic root is produced in such a fashion as to allow the root to optimise the integration into the jaw bone. An imprint of the cavity left in the jaw is taken by means of the introduction of a fluid into the cavity, in such a way that it serves as the master pattern, for a three dimensional scan of its profile, with a view to reproducing its shape exactly by means of stereolithography. |
