PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adequately maintain a temperature of a reformer even during the load variation. SOLUTION: A reformer 8 is connected to an inlet side of a fuel pole 3 of a fuel cell I in a reforming gas supply line 19. In a reforming chamber of the reformer 8, methanol in a methanol tank 27 is pressurized by a methanol pump 28 and supplied via a methanol evaporator 29 and a pre-heater 30. An anode exhaust gas AG exhausted from the fuel pole 3 is supplied to a combustion chamber of the reformer 8 by means of an anode exhaust gas line 38. A bypass line 39 is diverged from the anode gas line 38. The anode gas line 38 and the bypass line 39 are provided with flow rate controlling valves 41 and 42, and these valves are controlled by a controller 44 based on a signal from a thermometer 43. When a methanol flow rate increases as the a load increase, the anode exhaust gas flow rate to the reformer combustion chamber is increased, and conversely when the methanol flow rate is decreased as the load decrease, the redundant anode gas flow rate is bypassed. |
