PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the limit in the reproducing speed while a music is being reproduced by inhibiting the reproducing of lyrics and picture information if the reproducing speed exceeds a prescribed speed. SOLUTION: When a user pushes a fast forward button, the period of the timing signals generated from a timer 58 is reduced. If the data read from an HDD 51 are MIDI data (music information), the data are written into a MIDI sound source 57 with the timing generated by the timing signals. If the data are not MIDI data and the data are lyrics, picture and telop video data, the outputting of these picture data to a picture control circuit 61 is inhibited. In other words, only the writing period of the MIDI data is shortened and the reproducing speed of music signals is increased. When a rewinding button is pushed, the outputting of picture data is similarly inhibited, the writing period of the MIDI data is shortened and a reverse reproducing of musical sounds is executed. |
