PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently store an optical fiber extra-length part by providing a horizontal position holding mechanism which holds an optical fiber extra- length storage case at a horizontal position and a tilt position holding mechanism which holds it at a tilt position. SOLUTION: When the extra-length part of an optical fiber is stored, a 2nd lock shaft engages the lock hole 7a of a lower lock piece part 7 by falling the optical fiber extra-length storage case 10 to this side and holding it horizontally, thereby holding its horizontal attitude. optical fiber extra-length storage cases 10 are arranged longitudinally and nearly horizontally in a support frame 4 in a cabinet 1, and the pivots 18 of the respective cases 10 are stored while engaged with pivot holes of a support plate. At the time of storage, the optical fiber extra-length storage cases 10 are slanted upward, a 1st lock shaft 19 is fitted in the lock hole 8a of the lock piece part, and all the optical fiber extra-length storage cases 10 are stored while slanted upward. Consequently, the cabinet 1 is reducible in thickness. |
