PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a photosensitive soln. for forming a colored image capable of giving a dry coating film having a thin uniform thickness, a uniform chromaticity distribution and low tackiness and the produce a high guality of color filter excellent in optical characteristics by using the photosensitive soln. SOLUTION: This photosensitive soln. for forming a colored image contains a resin having an acid value of 20-300 and a wt. average mol.wt. of 1,500-200,000, a pigment, a monomer contg. one or more photopolymerizable unsatd. bonds in the molecule, a photoinitiator and an org. solvent. When the rate of evaporation of n-butyl acetate is represented as 1.00, that of the org. solvent is 0.1-0.4. A color filter is produced by using the solution.
