PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wrong use preventing device which allows a user to use an IC card at the time of user's normal use of the IC card and quickly inhibits the use of the IC card at the time when the IC card has been lost or stolen. SOLUTION: The wrong use preventing device for an IC card 10 consists of the IC card 10 and a transmitter 20 which transmits a radio signal to the IC card 10. The IC card 10 is provided with a reception part 15, which receives the radio signal from the transmitter 20, and storage parts 12 and 13 where data to discriminate the owner is stored, and data stored in storage parts 12 and 13 is erased or is made unavailable if a prescribed radio signal from the transmitter 20 cannot be received for a prescribed time by the reception part 15. |
