PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make this tool widely applicable in the case of retaining the precision of a branching size by guiding and at the same time energizing a pressing member in the pressing direction relative to an engaging member. SOLUTION: A pressing member 14 to press a terminal connector C to an engaging part 13 is guided along the pressing direction D against an engaging part 13 by a guiding member 12 in a detachable manner and at the same time energized toward the engaging part 13 by a helical extension spring 15. At the time of installation of a connector C, the pressing member 14 is pulled inversely in the pressing direction against the energizing force of the spring 15. Moreover, by releasing the pressing member 14 while the connector C being mounted on a joining part 14B of the pressing member, the pressing member 14 is again energized toward the engaging part 13 by the energizing force of the spring 15, so that the connector C is held between both uprightly standing parts 18 of the back plate part 14A and the engaging part 13 in the state that the difference of the outer size B of the connector C is absorbed by self- displacement. Consequently, in order to precisely retain branching size L, this tool is provided with a wide range of usability to be used for a plurality of types terminal connectors C. |
