PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter of an adaptive form for absorbing an X-ray beam. SOLUTION: A matrix of an electrode or a coil is provided which generates an electric field or a magnetic field to act on a liquid in a casing 7. The casing 7 has two chambers 9 and 10, which are sealed and separated from each other by a thin film 8. Liquids which are different in absorption characteristics from each other are accommodated in the chambers 9 and 10 respectively. The liquids are a magnetically rheological liquid or an electrically rheological liquid under the minimum pressure. The control of the matrix which generates a magnetic field or an electric field makes it possible to displace the thin film 8 as desired. Furthermore, the ratio of the thickness of the liquids accommodated in the two chambers 9 and 10 can be controlled. |
