PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To timely execute an image adjusting process by surely discriminating whether a cartridge is reloaded or newly loaded. SOLUTION: When a photosensitive drum cartridge attachment sensor 31 detects the attachment of a process cartridge to an image forming device, a printer engine control circuit 36 collates first identification information held in a nonvolatile memory 42 with second identification information held in a nonvolatile memory 37. The execution of a fixed image adjusting process for the process cartridge 41 is controlled with the result of the collation.
