PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL(ElectroLuminescent) element and its manufacturing method by which both moisture resistance and radiating effects are enhanced. SOLUTION: In the constitution of an EL element, one electrode 2, an electroluminescent layer 3, and the other electrode 4 are laminated on a light transmissive substrate 1 in that order. A water repellent protective film 5 is coated on the other electrode 4, and a plate made of glass, resin, ceramic, or metal is tightly laminated on the water repellent protective film 5, which is formed by mixed with radiating particulates. After the one electrode 2, the electroluminescent layer 3, and the other electrode 4 are laminated on the light transmissive layer 1 in that order, the water repellent protective film 5 mixed with radiating particulates is coated on the other electrode 4, thereby sealing the electroluminescent layer 3. Moreover, the plate made of glass, resin, ceramic, or metal is tightly laminated on the water repellent protective film 5. |
