<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wiring board for the matrix type liquid crystal display device which facilitates soldering between a land and an input lead and prevents a case wherein the input lead short-circuits owing to excessive solder. SOLUTION: Lands 30 provided to peripheral devices 6 and 8 of a liquid crystal panel are formed in such an octagonal shape that the center width W1 along the length is the largest and the peripheral width W2 along the length is smaller than the center width W1 . Here, the center width W1 corresponds to the width W1 of a lead 18 exposed in the slit 22 of a TCP(tape carrier package) 14. In a soldering process, solder 24 is molten mainly at the center part 30A of the land 30 and the molten solder flows to between narrow parts 30B and 30C of the lead 18 and lands 30 by its surface tension, so that molten solder itself connecting the both becomes gradually narrow.</p> |
