PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a basket system with which plural baskets can be handled and plural baskets for managing the information of various attributes provided for merchandise in an electronic shopping system can be defined and handled, concerning the electronic shopping system. SOLUTION: A baskey operating function 105 and a basket display function 107 called from a WWW server 103 perform data updating such as the addition/ deletion/number change/reference of merchandise while specifying any basket out of plural baskets through a basket inside information managing function 106 by using a basket identifier generated based on a shop ID uniquely applied at each shop in the electronic shopping system and a session ID uniquely applied each time a user enters the electronic shopping system for purchase.
