PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image stabilized in graduation change for the entire density area by operating different level conversion tables for respective image signal with plural pixels as one unit. SOLUTION: A dot concentrating circuit is provided with a counter for counting a pixel clocks initialized at the head of a line and for every three pixels, a selector for switching the flow of the image signals corresponding to the counted value and look-up tables composed of a ROM or a RAM corresponding to the respective three pixels. In the lookup tables, conversion tables to be applied to the adjacent tree pixels are stored. The conversion table (1) is applied to a first pixel, the conversion table (2) is applied to a second pixel and the conversion table (3) is applied to a third pixel respectively. By adopting the conversion tables, the need for forming a small area dot similar to a highlighted part is eliminated. |
