PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a navigation apparatus by which information is not provided excessively and which provides necessary information accurately by a method wherein a prescribed time is set between pieces of continuously provided information and next voice information is provided after the time. SOLUTION: When the output of previous information is finished, the delay time T (a provision interval) is calculated. Then, the time width T is set at a timer so as to be started. After that, when any voice information is generated, the necessity of the provision of information and the order of priority of the provision of information are decided and controlled, and an output queue (OUTQK=1) is set at the voice information. Then, in a routine 'OUTPUT', whether the voice information K is urgent information or whether a present point is close to the guidance point of a navigation operation is judged. When the voice information K is not the urgent information and when the present point is not near the guidance point of the navigation operation, the timer which is set investinates whether the time elapsed or not. When the time did not elapse, the output of the voice information K is reset, and the output queue is set. When the queue of the information K is reset, top-priority information which may be generated after the information K is provided. |
