PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation system for guiding a user comprehensibly with voice with regard to positional information or advancing direction. SOLUTION: The navigation system for providing information with voice through a voice output means 4 comprises a data base 1 holding information of road and marks on the periphery of a road, a location means 2 for managing the position of a user himself, and an operating means 3 for retrieving the information of marks near the user based on the information obtained from the location means and the data base and presenting the retrieved information of marks with voice. According to the arrangement, information of marks on the periphery of a road can be presented at an arbitrary point including intersections. |
