Then, it is assumed that environment illuminating light is standard ultraviolet area illuminance light by a lookup table 22c, a color-matching processing based on the difference of color reproducing range between input/output devices or the like is performed and conversion into chromaticity signals XcYcZc is performed. In the meantime, an environment light illuminating detection means 40 measures the environment illumination light 01 for observing a printed matter 31 and stores the data in a memory 41, and a CPU sends white data to be a reference from an ultraviolet area illuminance correspondence table 22b to an environment illuminating light correction processing part 22a, corresponding to the measured intensity of an ultraviolet area and a visible area and recording medium information. Then, the correction processing part 22a performs a correction processing to the chromaticity signals XcYcZc by using a chromatic adaptating prediction formula.
