摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electrolyte secondary battery having excellent charging and discharging characteristic and cycle characteristic by using lithium manganese having a cubic system spinner structure, which includes Li, Mn and O in a specified composition range, as the positive electrode active material. SOLUTION: Lithium manganate to be used for positive electrode active material for an organic electrolyte secondary battery is included in a composition range for satisfying the following condition. Namely, Li, Mn and O are included so as to satisfy 0.51<= [Li]/[Mn]<=0.565 and 0.722<=[Li+Mn]/[O]<0.75 in Li-Mn-O ternary system figure. At this stage, [Li]/[Mn] means composition ratio of Li and Mn, and [Li+Mn]/-[O] means composition ratio of a total of Li and Mn in relation to O.
