PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable navigation system in which the display on the screen can be switched automatically depending on the point of view of an operator. SOLUTION: A display 11 is fixed with an inclination sensor 12 in order to measure the inclination angleαdeg. thereof and current position G and azimuth angle are measured by means of a GPS(global positioning system) 13, or the like. A view point calculating section 16 sets an imaginary view point P on a vertical line on the display screen based on the inclination angleαdeg. of the display 11. Subsequently, a perspective conversion load screen generating section 17 reads out a map data corresponding to the current position G stored in a CD-ROM 14, for example, and performs a perspective conversion using an imaginary view point P having that height (h) as a view point. |
