The electronic switch has at least one operating unit (BEl-BEn) and a storage programmed control processor (P) for carrying out the bell ringing operations, also monitoring and evaluation. The operating unit consists of a telephone esp. a radio telephone, and a telecommunication connection unit (TA) in the control processor of the switch (SG). A subscriber instruction decoder (TID) executes a digitising and/or a code conversion and/or a series-parallel conversion of esp. subscriber instructions of a telephone consisting of sounds and/or speech. The results (ETI) of the control processor are deposited in the data storage (PD) and possibly directly or for the selected time, according to a ringing task, resulting from a subscriber instruction, at least a ring permission signal (Le1-n) for a bell ringing appts. control (GMS).
