摘要 The combined hydrostatic gear box (HSG) has several modes of operation and incorporates a differential hydraulic motor powered by a variable hydraulic pump. The differential pressure hydraulic motor has a swash plate (53) linked to a power output shaft (16) and cylinder block, linked in turn to a drive power input shaft. The gear box further incorporates a brake which operates against the cylinder block (22) torque as required, and a clutch which disengages the cylinder block torque motion as required. If the brake is operated while the clutch is disengaged and receives fluid from the variable oil pressure pump, the differential pressure hydraulic motor then operates in HSG-mode. When the brake is released, the clutch is engaged to receive fluid from the variable hydraulic pump and the differential pressure hydraulic motor then functions in an hydro-mechanic gear mode.
