The lock has a front lock face (2) on which is mounted, symmetrically on either side of a central housing (4) the housings (4) for deadbolts (23). The assembly is mounted in the leaf of the door. The device has two U-shaped sections (6, 7) which clip together. One section (6) fits on the door leaf and has an angular section (6b) which takes the mortice lock (1) and has a symmetrical axis (XX) at right angles to the face (6a) so that the mortice lock can be used to lock to the right or the left. The U-shaped section (7) has openings (12) on each side (7b, 7c) which correspond to the housing (4) for the mortice lock (1). |
