Controlling several coupled end stages esp. with gradient amplifier of nuclear resonance tomography

The method involves generation of several groups of control signals for controlling each of the end stages (10,10').Several pattern signal groups are generated in dependence on at least one input signal. The groups of control signals are generated from the pattern signal groups. Each pattern signal group is associated with a respective end stage. This allocation is changed step-wise. The control device for carrying out the process has a signal generator (28) with at least one input signal input (32). This generates the pattern signal groups in dependence on the input signal. A switch-over device is connected to the signal generator to generate the control signal groups.
